Water, water everywhere. Golden hours heading for a golden sunset.

              Wandering The Dark

                      John’s Rumspringa

Eyes closed to the darkness

that enfolds perception

Foot - falls that echo throughout time;

All must walk this path,

    humans driven from their mind

and pushed forwards into the dark,

hearts beating,

heated by the spark

of inspiration spiraling

upwards,

    downwards,

drawn to the dark

which shows the way.

To go farther in is to go farther out.

Avoid the chasms of bottomless doubt.

It is the light within that pulls us out

of our skin...

We souls in wonder,

    who wander the dark.

“Whoa... this is giving me flashbacks.” - Alice DiMicele

On my previous CD “Small Life, big ideas” I had this piece “Rumspringa” which I sent to my excellent friend of many years, John McShane. What came back were some very surprising additions including this wonderful collaboration which features John’s  improvised vocals and soulful harmonica.

Sitting around home with a sinus infection I put together this simplistic, over the top video to accompany this merger of musical sensibilities.

                         Lament For Alison Ryan

Sometimes people come into your life  from out of the blue and then are gone just as quickly.

Past that sad fact I have nothing to add except that...... She would have loved the Koi.
